Known for juxtaposing classic design and contemporary elements, Roy loves creating unique and luxurious spaces for his clients. His personal design style favors a clean, neutral color palette, mixing old pieces with new.
Roy Caro strongly believes in creating real homes for his clients, which are as inviting as they are luxurious. Roy’s design experience includes apartments, houses, both modern and period, cafés, restaurants and hotels.
A point of distinction for him is that the design is always about the client and that their personality is reflected in the timeless and livable interiors. Beautiful materials and attention to detail is essential to a successful design project and becomes apparent to clients as they participate in the process and, later, as they live in their new home.
Roy Caro has earned a reputation in Canada for providing a curated choice of furnishings elements to high-end Interior Designers and private residential clients. For over 12 years, co-founding with his then business partner, Scott Yetman, Celadon Collection, he sourced worldwide, the best selection of furniture collections, lighting and decor accessories. Roy also brought to Montreal's Griffintown, the first Canadian flagship store of the famous American furniture store, Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams, that opened in 2014.
Roy specialises in classic and contemporary design, usually combining both to great effect. Roy has a unique eye for colours, textures, light, proportions and fashion forward design features. He strongly believes in creating real homes for his clients, which are as inviting as they are luxurious. Roy’s design experience includes apartments, houses, both modern and period, cafés, restaurants and hotels.
Bio
From a young age, Roy recognized his passion for interior design at his father's Interior design firm in Madrid, Spain. His childhood was spent living in Madrid and South America and later traveling extensively throughout the world.
These experiences served as a source for inspiration, often referencing and reinterpreting these memories of architectural details, symmetry, colours, and textures in his work.
